I have about 30-ft Ethernet cord, if I wrap it around my neck tightly enough, would that be enough to lose air and cbt?

Don't think the OP meant hanging , just strangulation. That's what I got anyway. In which case I'd say it's pretty risky if your cord is old and thin but in theory yeah, co2 build and asphyxiation really bad way to go though.

I do like the idea of the ethernet cable. It's there. It's practical. It's free. It's one thing less that you have to go out for.

Look, you've done your time here, your placing your get out off jail free card on the tablet. And you just want the whole thing to end. You've suffered enough. Why not treat yourself to a nice new rope that'll make for a good hangin'.

Nobody wants to try to Ctb and fail. Trust me on that. Even if it takes some more time. A well thought out pln, with the proper materials, is going to have a better chance for being successful. You don't want to fail one of these things.

Do not fuck around with computer cables, extension cords, or electrical cords of any kind. They will all snap and leave you brain damaged. They are not meant to hold ANY weight. Only to carry electricity.

I'm living my last day and my emotions are everywhere.
When I saw Suffocation By Ethernet Cord....it made me laugh out loud, not at you, just the image and I don't think I've seen a question quite like that.

Ethernet cords make terrible rope.

• The external and internal plastic jackets are brittle and designed to be easy to strip.
• You do have four twisted pairs of copper wires, but copper is a very soft metal with a low tensile strength.
• The weakest part of any rope is always the knot, and ethernet cables are definitely not designed to be knotted.
• There are often internal nylon threads, but only a few, and they're not braided together - just loose strands.
• Since it isn't all braided together like a good rope, when pressure is applied, the stress will be applied on a few individual strands at a time, rather that being divided evenly.

edit — If you're just wrapping it around for suffocation it'll probably work, but asphyxiation is painful, man. Maybe consider something like suspension hanging instead, but with a better rope-like thing.
