I have read so much about partially suspended hanging and thought I had the method worked out right. Each time I try to commit to it I feel like it's my windpipe being constricted, not my carotid artery and I stop myself from the discomfort. Even with just a small amount of pressure I find myself choking and coughing. I'm starting to think maybe it's bruising and I need to let it rest a few days then try again. Anyone know where I could be going wrong?

My suggestions would be to
a) use a rope, not a belt they don't restrict as well.
b) tie a slipknot
c) put as much pressure as you possibly can on the noose/neck. I personally need A LOT of pressure for it to close my carotids, expect some discomfort on the neck/jaw.

I'm dead honest-I couldn't do it. I tried it with partial suspension once and it was terrible.

Last Saturday I tried it with a thin rope while drunk. I leaned foward and didn't feel all that much pain and peace after just a few seconds. Only aborted because no pants and hadn't delete my browser history.

I think you'll just need a lot of pressure by using a slipknot and a thin rope.
