I'm solidly in recovery myself, but today is a lesson in the fact that recovery doesn't mean things are always going to get better. Life is complicated and will always throw struggles your way. Lat night my chronic pain health issue was flaring up really bad, and coinciding with that I found out someone I care a great deal about may be leaving my life due to complicated personal issues they have going on. Collectively those two things also meant I got next to no sleep. Today my mood has just been dragging on the ground all day because of these things. I'm sick of being in pain, I'm sick of losing people I care about and I'm sick of never getting enough sleep.

I'll get to feeling better, I know, it's just hard to see the finish line when you are struggling to keep running the race, if you know what I mean. Any positive thoughts or whatever would be appreciated if you feel inspired to share them. Thanks for reading at least. ♥️

I know how you feel. Sometimes it feels like you're taking two steps forward and ten steps back. In those moments of setbacks I have to remind myself that recovery isn't linear. And that if my best today is 12% then that's what I'll give it. Your best might have been 80% yesterday but every day is a fresh start, so approach it like a new chapter. It's hard.. but even if things don't get easier, we get stronger. Thanks for sharing this. I read it and felt understood. Even though I'm trying sometimes it honestly just sucks. And that's okay. That's life.

Life can be a real rollercoaster, can't it? Recovery sure doesn't come with a guarantee of smooth sailing. It's like running a marathon, and just when you're panting, the finish line seems to be playing hide-and-seek. But hey, I'll drop some positivity your way because you deserve it! Remember, you're a warrior, battling through pain and challenges. The finish line may be out of sight, but it's there, waiting for you to conquer it. Keep pushing forward, and don't forget to be kind to yourself along the way. You're stronger than you realize, and you'll get through this rough patch. Hang in there, my friend.

It's really unfortunate to read that you're having a bad day, especially when you have offered and given so many of us your kind words and support. But unfortunately that is how life can be even to those that give so much, we have some ups and we have some downs. I really hope that the words you've read here have uplifted you at least a little bit, and I hope that you won't be in pain for much longer, or that you'll at least see some relief soon.

It's also okay to grieve the loss of that friendship and to give yourself all of the time and space that you need for that. Things like that are always hard to deal with, I think most of us can understand the feeling of being exhausted of it. I'm happy that you're able to keep a positive mindset through it all. Right now there's a storm raging on your beach but it won't last forever. I hope that you see clear skies and more peaceful waters soon. And be sure to get some rest when you can! We're all rooting for you.

recovery is a very slow and difficult process sometimes with a lot of roadblocks. you have a great way of thinking about things, though. i'm confident that your recovery will continue to go well if you keep this mindset. if you're able to take a melatonin or something to help you sleep, i would recommend it. lack of sleep will only make your mood worse. i hope you feel better, feel free to dm if you need to talk. <3
