It was late at night and I had just gotten off work and while I was at the bus interchange waiting for the bus this strange old man decided to talk to me. He pointed out the birthmark I have on my neck and told me I was special. He told me about his son who has a birthmark too which was on his back and how successful he was and that he went to uni. And then he showed me his black tongue and said we were both special and unique and people like us would be successful in life or something along that line. I think it was pretty sweet honestly. Also the bus was delayed like it just didn't show up at the time it was supposed to so we had to wait for the next one so I was talking to this guy for a while and now I'm questioning everything. Like, is this a sign? Is this a sign not to CTB? I'm just so confused. Why now? Why when I already have everything ready and planned? Perhaps this doesn't mean anything.

If it means something to you and you think it's a sign, I think it's a sign. It feels like you may want something to keep you here and like there's a meaning bc I don't know if your brain would go there and think this if it didn't mean anything. Just because you have everything ready doesn't mean you have to go. There is no rush.

In other words - this seems like a beautiful human interaction/connection. I like when that happens. Loneliness and feeling like we don't matter if a big reason we might want to go, so it means a lot when you have a good human connection.

I told the story once... 10+ years ago or so I think... I was sitting in a Wendy's eating. A group of people, several older women and one younger woman came in together. They sat and ate nearby, I wasn't any more aware of them than I was anyone else in the restaurant. When I had finished my main meal I dumped my trash and got back in line to get a Frosty for dessert. While I was in line that group of women started to leave. As they were leaving, the younger woman came up to me completely unprompted and just said to me, "God wanted me to tell you he loves you."

I'm an atheist. I didn't want to be rude, but I didn't know what to do with that. I'm sure I looked depressed, I often do... and that's probably why she randomly came up to me and no one else in that restaurant... but I didn't know what to do with it. I suppose I could have flirted with her, but that seemed inappropriate given the context... and I think I just thanked her. She rejoined her group and they left and that was that.

I also think it depends on how you feel about it.
I personally feel disillusioned with this line of thinking (in my life) as I also had people told me how special and full of potential I am, but I feel like my life is crap, and that potential never came true, even though I worked very hard, and tried to be a good person etc.
