I've loved Edward Steichen's art ever since I first laid my eyes on one of his works. He was a photographer and an artist and is most famous for the works he created in the early 20th century. His work The Pond—Moonlight, the top one below, was actually sold for $2.9 million in 2006, at the time the most expensive photograph in history. His art speaks to me, to use a pretentious phrase, and I find it wonderfully melancholic and somewhat threatening; it also makes me ponder upon life and death, for some reason. Anyway, since it makes an impression on me, I thought that it might make an impression on you too.
