I see them as both being effective and peaceful, but I believe that Stan's full method will be a more comfortable passing.
Keep in mind that to follow Stan's full guide, there will be stress in obtaining all the substances, so you have to balance that out in determining whether that added stress is worth it to you.

When I first visited the possibility of CTB seriously and found the guides for using AE's my instinct was that a stat dose (after fasting) would be the best option. Logically my thought was that a single dose is less likely to throw up any of the nastier side effects some AE's present.
Over time that logic has changed. I've come think that actually my initial logic was flawed because the stat dose involves taking a dose larger than recommended in a single dose and therefore carries higher risks of the worst adverse effects. Some people have experienced these side effects chronically and never got over them. By there very nature they can make the act of drinking a solution required to CTB near enough impossible.
As a result I've come to think that lower doses spread over a period of time make more sense. For one the risks are lower but more so you get the opportunity to stop using them and switch to another should milder incarnations of the symptoms occur. There's more likely hood of them passing too. On top of this there is the added benefit (with metoclopramide) of the speeded gastric transit having more significant impact over time rather than in the short period following a stat dose. This means that the rate of absorbtion of whatever you take will be increased and have a much faster effect which, I think its resonable to assume we all want when we finally decide to CTB. Nobody wants to sit on a slow bus.
