• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

For the last two-ish weeks, I've had the recurring problem of my hands just, like, kind of giving out on me. I'll be holding something and it's like my fingers/hands just forget I'm meant to keep grasp on whatever I have and I drop it. I don't even realize it's happened until the thing hits the ground. I don't lose feeling in my hands or anything so dramatic, it's like my body's just been "forgetting" it's meant to hold xyz.

I've dropped water all over the floor twice (and potentially broke my toes doing so last week because full 48oz metal bottle = heavy when dropped, and no, I didn't go to the doctor because $$$ so this is a guess), my phone repeatedly, keys like half a dozen times, and fumbled several other things. It's gotten to the point where my coworkers joke about it at work.

I'm not trying to do it and it's annoying and frustrating, but getting it checked out (especially something so vague that could need tests and shit) costs money I don't have. I do have insurance, but it's not great insurance, and I have a couple thousand in credit card debt to worry about already without thousands more in medical on top of it.

I don't even know why I'm posting this because it's not like me griping is going to fix the problem. It's just becoming increasing irritating.

Out of interest, are you male or female? You don't have to answer of course but, my friends and me often joke that just before our periods, we become a lot more clumsy. I always start dropping stuff just before. It's massively annoying. We started calling it: 'the dropsies'.

But no, I understand why this must be disturbing. I'd say Google your symptoms but that would likely scare the shit out of you. I always jump to the conclusion I must have something terrible when I do that.

I actually think it's terrible people should have to pay for their healthcare. As shit and broken as the NHS is in the UK, I do love the idea that your community looks after you for free when you become ill. Surely, that's what being part of a community should be about.

Are there any cheaper diagnostic services at least so, you could investigate what it might be?

I totally get you. For a few weeks now, my hands have been shaking a lot. I'm not sure if it's a medication thing or some horrible physical problem because I've been really klutzy with no balance the last few months.
But it's scar imagining all the prospects of what could be causing it.
I always worry about spilling things. And I have OCD so it would just make me freak out to trying to clean it all up perfectly.

And I know what you mean about not being able to afford it because I am also worried it would take expensive tests if I really complained about this. Plus, I am trying to avoid doctors as there are so many preventative tests that they are telling me to get at my age I do not want.
In the back of my mind I keep kinda hoping something will just kill me fast.

I could technically go to a walk in clinic, but they don't really have the resources to do any sort of diagnostics. In other news, I just managed to spill dirty cat litter all over the floor because my hands decided to give out over nothing , so šŸ™ƒ.

Do you type a lot? Maybe carpal tunnel, I really don't know but sounds like a nerve thing. Hope it gets better by itself!
