...attentive listening :shy: (Or, rather, it is teaching me that so be patient with me).

"I'm sorry you're ________" is not something that used to be part of my conversations. I would always listen and pay attention to the people speaking to me or writing online but I never validated other people. To hear or read that someone is sorry for what I've gone through or am going through feels nice and makes me feel connected to people. It's only been in the past seven months I've noticed that I don't make a point of doing this.

So, thank you all and be patient as I develop this new habit :heart:

I don't think that's something I would want to hear in my address as I don't see how that is helpful to the recipient in any way. So someone feels bad about your misfortune, or at least claims to feel bad. What's in it for you?
