Never thought of it like that but I have always felt at least ten years behind where I should have been, weird.

Nope. I think that it's impossible for me to have the teenage experience later in life. People who are under 18 are extremely lucky as they don't have many responsibilities to do and they just get to relax for most of their day. I will never get that privilege now that I'm over 18. Kids with decent childhoods have the best lives that a normie can access

I don't think I have autism but yes, I think I'm displaying more typical teenage traits as a 44 year old than I did back then. I'm more rebellious now. More full of angst and rejection of parental/social obligations. I was too timid to do all that when I was young. I just complied and complained slightly less.

I wish I'd died younger. It's not nice living with so much anger. It's totally pointless too. I'm angry about childhood stuff. About what's expected of me now when they didn't live up to their own expectations back then.

can you elaborate 'that a normie can access'?

Maybe, but there are parts I don't want to experience and others that I do. It's a conundrum.

I don't miss the lack of independence from my teen years nor the hellish grind for college applications.

I mean that I believe that the best part of most people's lives is their childhood due to lack of responsibilities and more freedom. Of course I'm not taking into account people with extremely abusive childhoods as they're outliers. A lot of people miss their childhood and really dread adulthood. Adulthood demands a lot from you whereas childhood doesn't

I just kinda figure it's better skipping those experiences and try to be the age I am instead.
