Im gonna take a chance and hope my therapist has no time to waste here but I was on the phone with a government agent who had made a mistake they could not immediately fix (ie after office hours) and I was upset of course and crying a bit. I yelled at them and finally realized nothing could be done at the moment so I said I'm hanging up and going home. They would not let me off the phone, said I sounded upset. I said of course, you screwed me over and can't fix it.
Anyway long story short, they called the cops/ambulance/firemen to my door (no joke!!!) and asked me how I was feeling, took my blood pressure (it was high, duh) and wanted to take me in for that. I swore I was fine and refused the oxygen mask they tried to force on me, and after an hour I finally convinced them I was fine. They left but I had to sign a form that I refused treatment.
This was, btw, the second time someone had called the cops to my place, first time I convinced them I was A-OK and in no imminent danger. Trick is you gotta stay CALM. If you are freaking out, you're a goner. And Lie lie lie your ass off.
To this day, everytime I hear the sirens from cops, ambulance or firemen, I get majorly triggered.
