I'm older than many, younger than some. I struggled for decades (!) living on the edge of total poverty. Here are some recipes that involve simple, not exotic, ingredients. Soups are still my number one way to eat. Easy and super nutritious. As for the coping emotionally, nothing is sure-fire, but here are a couple of straight-ahead books and a couple others, all with easy to digest ideas and tools. Life is hard, no doubt about it. The systems in place (socioeconomic) and the necessity of living in contact with our fellow mostly horrible naked apers is "Hell" for the vast majority. Music and art and nature. It's all we have. Literature, culture.
At least learn and create art until the time a peaceful pill that is accessible and inexpensive comes along (veterinary N's caustic chemicals and gag-inducing taste, not to mention outrageous price tag does not, for me, qualify as such). I feel for all the miserable souls out there (I don't believe in souls or anything of the sort, btw).
A peaceful, non-violent exit is everyone's right. But I admit, I'm disturbed by the number of really young folks who want to CTB due to anxiety abt independence and surviving on one's own and their lack of know-how and support. I've been there for decades, It only take one supportive person in college counselor's office to make a difference and then you take it a day at a time. It is a constant struggle to stick around for me personally. But until then, I'm going to eat healthy, not go broke, and be able to go out on my own terms not anybody else's.
Just be your own best friend and backing off the social media bullshit is a good start. It's all a bunch of superficial tripe. You're just playing into Big Tech's playbook for popping their quarterly profits. Fuck 'em. Unplug. Ciao.
