Every so often you find a dumbass that hits pretty close to home. Today I found one such dumbass.

About half of the article is incorrect due to patients not wanting to be thrown into a nuthouse. The numbers are conservative at best.
I've been asked about my suicidal thoughts several dozens of times and denied every time. I'm doubtful anyone seriously considering suicide is going to reveal such thoughts knowing they're going to be, as I said, thrown into a nuthouse.
In said nuthouse, by the way, the chance of being given your medication is nigh nonexistent, so along with being locked up, you'd also deal with daily seizures.
To conclude, she's close, but still very far.

What an idiot. A painful chronic disease is a completely valid reason to CTB.

You must live outside the UK. Revealing suicidial intentions here just gets you a prescription off your GP for an SSRI.. I tried to get a section but it seems you need a failed attempt for them to take you seriously.

Translate the acronyms, please.
IIRC, SSRI is a stupidly dangerous ancient antidepressant, but what's a GP?

This reads like water is wet and the sun is bright and hot. Oh wow, damaged quality of life leads to suicide. Who knew...

General practitioner, basically local doctor.

Ah, thank you.

Kek. Exactly what I thought. Being an epileptic myself I wanted to comment, but then I'd be revealing myself, and my commenting would be an extreme outburst of rage.
One of the pills I take has the side effect of "irritability". Whoever chose that word has to be British. No offense to the British. I love how the British underestimate some things. "Kepprage" - rage induced by Keppra. It's best I avoid any more details about that one.
