Ok so i applied for euthanasia a year ago on 31 August 2018. They told me it would take 4 months till the team will look at my case. Now i am year on the waiting list and have spend waiting on my turn. I took 7 months to go from 6th place to 5th place.
A few months ago my doctor she tried to get some support at a psychology organization they told me they have experience with people who are in the process. When i came there at the psychiatrists I told her my story and also i am willing to take on support but no therapy anymore. Also i told her i have my own regime ready if the End of life clinic is not willing to give me the euthanasia. That point she got scared and literally said, for you its not foward but going left or to the right. I said yes or i do it myself or the end of life clinic have to do it. Than she said sorry whe can't help you we only provide therapy.
But she said she had experience with people who are waiting for euthanasia right! .
So she offers to put my case on a district team that come at home. So waiting for 2 weeks they come again i tell my story that i dont want therapy only some support etc. They said we have to talk about this your case is complicated.
They left it took 7 weeks until I got a response. He said sorry from higher up in the organization we cannot take your case we can't help you. Again wtf.
So today just now i got a call back after almost 2 months later. The first psychiatrist she called me. She said sorry the contact have been going back and forward between your doctor the district team and the hospital where you went for a experimental tryout. We want to talk but we have to report to the insurance company so therapy is what we can provide. I told her i am already getting some support since 3 weeks now at my doctors inhouse psychologist.
She said yes but maybe you are better of with us etc. I told her i am on the waiting list for euthanasia and by coincidence today on the news the end of life clinic are getting even more requests and applications for euthanasia. I was getting angry and upset at this moment, i said i will only work with you and your organization if you take on my euthanasia because the end of life clinic will take months till they have time for my case. Explained to her life is not always working out for people in some cases its better to end it to stop the suffering and getting some peace.
The whole thing failing with my attempt and the news article about more applications for euthanasia and also one article today that there are 2 cases that weren't fully and carefully treated so the justice department will check out the clinic. What means they will work even slower from now on so i have to wait longer if i dont do it myself. And the phone just had make me so upset pfff so fucking done with it all.
