I moved into this new Town 3 weeks ago now. It's a really miserable town where everyone looks sad, bored miserable. the funny thing, they all seem so very busy and everyone seems to be working very hard. In my country, people really value money/wealth so much. It's like it's the only thing reason for their existence. People will do anything for money and they mystify it so much, it's like a religion/heaven of sorts.
It's a very scary society, e.g hospitals will admit you so as to get government or private insurance money and sometimes they drug you with expensive medicine until you die and they get their cheques.

It's like I just read an episode of twilight zone.

I can relate to what you're saying though. It's strange being a human amongst brainless robots programmed for nothing other than their endless cycle.

They even have expensive malls where all stuff is sold 2 or 3 times normal price. The malls make a lot for it's a statement to everyone that you have money. You'd laugh seeing all those people with smug faces as they pay for the overpriced goods.
Anyway, from my apartment, I counted over 50 similar apartments in a 5km radious from my 7th floor. My apartment has 8 houses per floor. That's 56 families - if each family has 5 or 4 people - everyone seems to have 2-3 kids. Now 56 x 5 x 50 apartments. That's a lot of people who seem happy and contented with buying stuff. Approximately 14000 people.
14000 happy people and one me waiting for my death date.
That's only what I can see. Now the city stretches for 40-50 km radius. I'm wondering, how many are suicidal, because everyone seems very ok just looking for money to buy stuff..., And kids going to school to learn a skill to make money and buy stuff in future.
I find it wierd

I see the same in England or though.with the.financial situation, many people.are loosing.their homes.and other material over indebted objects. You see, people can never really have enough money or material possessions to the point where possessions own people.. I think contentment at the simplest.level is fine..Its something i aspire too, especially now im sick.

I live a very minimalistic lifestyle. I hate money and materialism.
I feel so much better living this way. Life is more simple to manage.

Yes, thanks so true.infact today is true in UK as interest rates were hiked again, so people are enslaved even more.against a home they dont yet own. The debt has imprisoned them.
