Yes,food grade is meant to be used processing meat so it's more purer. No additives. Non food grade may have other elements (chemicals) added to it. The SN Megathread explains it well.

Thanks. You're answer is very informative. And i think i might be able to get SN online in my country and branded from a major german chemical company. And use as an excuse (if asked or something) that i'm looking into getting into making my own sausages or something lol. But also i think i can get N, but it would require an international trip.
The purity level. It wasn't specific on the product but I asked the seller and they said 99%. I did have to use my business account to buy it so I hope they didn't lie

There's some test that you can do. Is the big post of SN i don't know i you saw it. For me they seem like a hassle, the one with the chemic strips and the blood one. When i get my sn i don't know if im gonna be able to do them, it makes me anxious
The strip test, albeit not always reliable, is much more interesting than the blood test. The blood test only shows the presence of nitrite while the strip test can give you an approximation of the purity rate.
