Several gms kill tho it's a minimal lethal dose. It's reliable if no gastric lavage/vomiting happen during poisoning unreliable if one of the either takes place. Also reliability of the method depends on the time if you have found too early the ambulance gonna administer methylene blue - antidote for sn and poisoning gets reversed

There are no guarantees but if you follow proper protocol there's a high chance of succeeding, enough for it to be considered "reliable".
One study said of those who tried SN method only 15 percent died and 88 percent survived.

Posts that have examined SN attempts in this forum show a much higher success rate (>90%) if the person abides by the protocol and doesn't contact anyone beforehand and isn't found.Last edited:Reliable if done right but its an overly complicated method that takes planning and preparation. It also takes about 8 hours which is why it's not a very common method, too many things to go wrong or be found and saved.It's only reliable if it's done right. I'm going off of Stans guide. I failed my attempt because I didn't take enough SN for my body weight and I didn't use all the meds listed. I know they say you can still use SN without taking those other meds well I don't agree. I also failed because I vomited it all up. So those anti vomiting meds are must. You have to do everything to keep it down. Trust me when I say it's hard. If you vomit all your maybe you can keep drinking more glasses. But once you've thrown it all up your body will automatically reject any more you try to drink. Thats how bad it is if you vomit.
The body is surprisingly good at knowing when something isn't right, which then leads to a natural reaction to vomit.
It's a cellular level (?) response to poisoning.
Not much to do with the taste, else it'd be easy to mask it with squash or some other flavouring.Similar threads
