What are pros and cons of those methods? Are there any better methods than Nitrogen or SN?

SN is a bit easier to acquire, takes longer for you to pass out. (10-15mins instead of 10-15 seconds)

If you freak out and call an ambulance you are in for a very painful hospital visit with SN.

I don't think anyone can accurately answer this for you, we don't know a great deal about SN and only have a few references from here and the PPH to go from.

If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say that Nitrogen would be more peaceful. The reason I say this is because there was a documentary made by the BBC called "How to kill a human being" and the host of the documentary was subjected to Nitrogen Hyoxia, he was very, very euphoric, to the point the tester told him "if you don't remove the mask from your face you will die" but because he was so euphoric he didn't remove it and it had to be removed for him.

Obviously, they wouldn't have let him die on national TV and it was just an experiment but it goes to show just how peaceful and actually 'pleasant' it is.

In the same documentary they subject pigs to Nitrogen Hypoxia by putting food out of a chute where the gas is, the pigs were knocked unconscious from the gas, the gas was then switched off, the pigs eventually came around and when they came to they went straight back to the same chute of food as they did before. This told scientists that the pigs experienced no pain or discomfort because if they had, they wouldn't have gone back to the food again.

SN on the other hand, while it kills in very much the same way 'hypoxia' it takes much longer to come on and there has been known to be some discomfort associated with it, such as numbness and tingling, headaches, vomiting and other users who have given live accounts of their suicides on here have described 'pain' but since pain is subjective we will never know if it were minor or severe.

I don't by any means think SN is a bad way to go, Exit say that they've monitored a handful of people now and it all appeared to be peaceful but sadly that's only a small sample size of people. At least from 'some' accounts on here, we can ascertain there is some level of discomfort.

I assume with Nitrogen being so fast acting it prevents any unpleasant symptoms coming on as with SN. So all in all I'd say if you can easily get hold of Nitrogen go with that but for many it's simply not an option due to cost, accessibility and practicality.

Great answer, thank you. I have also seen that movie and think that nitrogen is the best way to do it. It's legal, fast and painless. A little bit complicated, but not that hard to do it. Only downside of it is that if something goes wrong, you may end up with damaged brain, or brain dead.

There was a live documentation of SN fairly recently, might be worth reading the thread if you can find it. I guess it all comes down to what's easier to access and what you feel better suits you. Not everyone has access to SN and for some it's just a preference.

Going back and forth as well. SN vomit risk is significant and am leaning toward Nitrogen/exit bag now. Just have to source the Nitrogen.

I'm considering these two options as well, although SN is more likely due to where I plan on ctb.

For me, SN is more "portable" and easier to keep the supplies hidden. If you live alone and don't have to worry about storing a tank, that may be a more viable option. That is not the case for me.
I plan on ctb outdoors, and therefore hauling a tank is not practical. It's pretty easy to put all the SN supplies in a bag and go discreetly to my location. A tank would be difficult to hide.

Exit bag would be better for sure, but more of a hassle.

@Quarky00 I read not a big problem in UK. Don't know about Ireland though.

Obtaining a proper CO tank ? Is it common on the market and easy to buy ?
I know two suppliers of CO tanks in UK.
However, I haven't found yet if you need a certificate of storage and handling or any other certificates or permissions.
The only way to check that is to have a volunteer to contact the supplier.
So technically if you meet all the requirements, it should not be a big problem.
