How long can sn be good after opening the package? I have opened it 2 weeks ago and am unsure of its potency right now. How long is it good for after opening?

That's a grey area, somewhat unknown. I hope you haven't kept it open all this timje. One source I read on the internet is that the half life is about 90 days- that half of it gues bad iun 90 days, then half of what is left goes bad in another 90 days, etc., but I haven't found a certain source for this, this is just one source. Tryiong to store it as airtight as possible now might help.

Another source online said that after exposure to the air Sodium Nitrite has a half life of 82.5 days. So three months is about right.

I read somewhere it's about 82 days , but I'm not sure if that is if SN is left in the open air. I intend to open the bottle a few days before using it (to do the blood test). I think that's best.

After evaporation or exposure to the air, sodium nitrite will be slowly degraded by photochemical processes (half-life of 82.3 days). However, since sodium nitrite shows a very low vapour pressure evaporation is negligible; therefore, phototransformation in air is of minor importance (ECHA).

By the way. When citing sources and pasting links, it's best to anonymize them. It's done through this website: https://dereferer.me/
