Thinking about using the SN method but I don't think I can get my hands on anything but the SN itself. How likely is it to work with nothing but SN?

thanks for the reply.
so just taking the right dosage should do the trick? I thought about buying OTC meds to help with nausea, but it's all i can manage

From what I've read about SN, the biggest problem would be vomiting. Can't work if it doesn't stay in your body..

Some people have problems just swallowing the stuff and many still puke a little, even with the anti-emetics. Doesn't sound like a very good plan to me, going just with the SN (+ fasting)?

Even if you vomit it will more than likely still work. We had a live documentation where the person vomited but still ctb to the best of our knowledge. Like others have said, the added extras are designed to make it more comfortable for you.

i would fast for it and maybe even try and deprive myself of sleep beforehand to make it easier to just fall asleep and let it happen. i'm not prone to throwing up even when i've drank a lot, but i'm thinking if i do throw up there's a chance i could also just choke.

You can buy pretty much everything over the counter except the propranolol. That can be gotten too.

Have a couple extra glasses of SN ready. If you throw up and are worried you didn't keep enough down you can drink another.

I actually wonder if this would work. I have never seen it in practice. I would assume that if you throw up, you would be too disoriented to drink another glass. I know I can't even get water into my stomach after I vomit.

That seems to be what happens. I mean, I'm gonna prepare extra just in case but I can't recall hearing/seeing anyone really talk about consuming the second glass.

It could probably work, but obtaining Metoclopramide (that is usually prescribed for nausea) would be a good idea and taking it beforehand you ctb either as a single heavy dose or as a "ahead regime". Dignitas, Exit and Life Circle use Metoclopramide to help prevent vomiting.

My pro tip: make sure all your glasses of SN are clearly labelled as 'Poison' and/or put a warning sign up next to them. The last thing you (hopefully!) want is for a friend or family member to accidentally consume one after your death, or even rinse them out but still consume trace amounts later. In fact, would that be a good (albeit perhaps obvious) suggestion to add to the original FAQ?

Good idea that most people probably don't think about. I think my family would be smart enough to realize it's poison if it's discolored, but I've read some accounts on here of it still being clear so it could look like plain water. I suppose the scene could make someone feel faint and they might automatically reach for the "water". I'm more worried about my family not thinking and letting my cat into my room, and him getting into it. I'm going to hang a sign from a string just inside my room that says something like "Keep Zeke out. Sodium Nitrite in glasses" so that's the first thing they'll see when they open my bedroom door.

Well that's good I'm in the same position as the OP, but I'm a wimp when it comes to throwing up and want it to be an easy transition. or at least as easy as I can make it.

You didn't vomit from the hemlock. I think you're good with some Antimetics.

It would be nice to know what to say to the doctor to get meto prescription. I read that it has to do with gastric reflux and nausea which occures after a meal. Now let's find out how to put it together to get the right prescription.

It may not be the first medication to prescribe in case of casual nausea or get any prescription at all.

Sorry for my english

Or you could put the SN mixture into clearly-labelled closed-top water bottles instead of glasses. Probably what I will do, both to reduce someone else taking it and to reduce the risk of them being knocked over during vomiting etc.

Also bear in mind that your cat may well try to eat any vomit it finds, and for an animal of that size there might be sufficient levels of SN in it to be harmful.

@rue89, did you see my important warning above about your cat and the vomit?

Good point. I was thinking about the open glasses, but there's that too. I likely won't be able to do anything about that so hopefully they'll take note of the sign. My door will be closed so my cat won't be able to get in until someone opens it. I did think about water bottles, but I just realized I was only thinking about the disposable ones with the small openings that I thought might slow down my drinking. I totally forgot that bottles with wide openings are a thing. I'll look into those. I figure I'll be able to gulp down more at once this way. I heard it tastes awful so the shorter the time it takes to drink it the better.

In Europe it's very easy to get the meto but nobody selling sn and US vendors don't ship to here ( it's legal in EU for sure).

You should be able to get your hands on more than just the SN. Unless you're talking about SN being the only non OTC thing you can get your hands on. If you have any questions that haven't been answered feel free to PM.
