Bit the bullet (ha) and did my walk of shame to the USPS post office to see what was up. For context, I was worried because when I order SN, I planned to send it to the box rather than my home address to prevent snooping.
If no one saw the prev thread, my PO box was listed as closed even though I had just set it up, paid, got keys, etc, <2wks ago. I went there and my keys still worked in if so I know they didn't change the locks like they would do if it was "really" closed.
Anyways. Guy at the counter was super confused but exceedingly kind, had to go through twenty people to figure out the problem and what to do. Their best guess is, apparently, someone with a similar PO box number closed their box, and someone wrote down my number instead of theirs (think 1234 VS 1334). It was a big issue because there's apparently no protocol for this, but they were very nice about the whole thing since they said it was their fault. They extended it from three months to six months for free! So instead of $60-70 for 6mo, it was like $35ish from when I'd paid for the original shorter term. Which is good for if I drag my feet on ordering it, I guess.
This isn't, like, important, I just figured anyone who saw the OG may like seeing an update? @maniac116 @socrates @FuneralCry
