So I received my SN today and I'm feeling all kinds of different emotions. It feels weird to know that I have a way out and it's right here in my hands.. but I'm also having mixed feelings over it. I'm nervous, I'm not sure what I want to do next.

thanks! And I'm doing the same, I'm keeping it put away for when I'm completely ready. Knowing that I have it though makes me feel better too. I'll be able to turn to it whenever I want.

SN is not N. SN is not reliable enough to be comfortable or assured that you have a way out when you need it. At best from all the work I have done, SN seems to work about 75% of the time without intervention. Planning for failure is needed. What will happen if you fail? How will you cope with it?

So happy for you, love. I obtained my SN kit this month, and like you, knowing I have that way out is very comforting... In the beginning I was really nervous about time, when to ctb, etc. But I'm not trying to pressure myself... As time goes by I become much more calmer and at peace with ctbing soon. Definitely do it when you're ready.

People are stupid. Say you heard about it online as a health supplement and just guessed how much to take. If asked where you heard it, just say a few months ago on Facebook or Pinterest or something. There's so many posts in a week let alone months that you'd never be expected to dig the post up. People use quartz rocks to 'heal' sickness, ordering a random compound online isn't that far fetched.

Well depending on area/etc, that's frequently where you end up with any failed attempt where you're caught, or seek treatment during or after. With SN... not exactly a common thing that most would have around to accidentally take. Meaning, you probably won't have any excuse, and you'd practically just have to admit it for what it was. Even if you came up with a lie, they could still keep you for observation (area depending of course).

That wouldn't fly. Doctors aren't stupid... At least in my country. This would just get you even more time in the psych ward than if you told the truth

Trust me, here doctors are stupid and mental health care here is one of the worst so, at least here they would buy it haha

If your doctors would buy that you overdosed on sodium nitrite thinking it was a health supplement, especially when you have no food in your stomach and took anti emetics, then I'd immigrate ASAP.
No, they won't buy it. No, they're not stupid.

A better alternative would be to put it in a salt container and say you stored it there for some unknown reason, then mistook it for salt. Even then they're still very, very unlikely to believe you. You're just gonna get yourself longer in the psych ward.
I told the truth and didn't even get put in the psych ward, so I'll stick with that personally

What country is that? I'm surprised you weren't admitted when you admitted to wanting to CTB. I would think it automatic you would end up admitted.

UK. Once you've been medically treated, you meet with a psychiatrist. They're the ones who decide if you're admitted to the psych ward or not.
I admitted it was a suicide attempt but said it was a spur of the moment thing, I wasn't thinking clearly, I'm glad I survived, I have so much to live for and won't do it again, etc. Complete bullshit lol but it worked.
I'm pretty sure if you try the health supplement story they'll have you committed purely for insulting their intelligence. If you take 4x the lethal dose of SN on an empty stomach, with anti emetics, no doctor or psychiatrist in any country is gonna believe you intended to do anything other than ctb

Do you have a thread that we can look at to see how you arrived at this conclusion. Past month , everyone who used SN are no longer here . There are many variables as to why someone could fail , did they use SN on its own , use sufficient gm's per body weight , the list goes on .

Feels strange and anticlimactic, buying some chemical on the internet to swallow...
Yet it feels comforting to know that I have a reliable method now...

Now my box that only had a couple straws, some ibuprofen, and some clear plastic cups has all of the basic essentials. Had to take a step back after seeing it all in there and let it sink in for a bit.
