Just ordered SN. Where i am its only meant to be bought by businesses so i need a backstory in case i get asked. Any ideas?

Sorry but if you are in the situation of being askEd why you need it they will be onto you already and telling them you just felt like curing meat all of a sudden is likely to fail.

You just have to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best, sorry to sound negative but it's a risk and the prominence of Sn being used to ctb is definitely on peoples radar, that said, most get it without too much issue so the chances are good

if it's just a supplier asking and you don't need any proof:

1. Butchers use sodium nitrite for the meat-curing thing

2. Sodium nitrite is also used to distinguish red oak from white oak. A carpenter or any other kind of woodworker would have a legit reason for buying some.
