Hi,
I feel like kind of a doofus for posting this..
I have aquarium strips but no scale or syringe etc.
So I tested tap water then added a tiny pinch of SN and retested and came up with the darkest color for nitrites and just a hint of color for nitrates.
What do you think?

I suck at chemistry BUT I think the test only works if you follow the ratio scale correctly. I'm not sure if I can explain but it's going to show maximum purity if you used 1g of SN in 10ml of water because the test will "think" the drop of water came from idk 5L like it's supposed to and it'll mistakenly read the high concentration.
