Hey guys I was just wondering if SN would still get absorbed with someone with intestinal inflammation, I have crohns and celiac. For what it's worth I still feel the effects of caffiene and thc edibles in the expected timeframe.

I have severe gastric problems and I dont think for me I'd be able to absorb or even cope with getting the SN down, would just bring it back up or if went down would be absolute agony for me, way my insides have got. I suppose it depended exactly which part you digestive tract was worse, you mention Crohns and Celiac which is more bowel, so if someone with that drank SN, not sure if would have gone done that far into system or not or whether someone would be passed away not long after hit stomach. For me its really not an option. Please take great care and do lots more research.

Absolutely! It sucks cause I seem to absorb caffiene within 10 minutes but I need to be sure with SN. If not I'll probably just switch to full hanging which kind of sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do

Its a difficult one and I empathize. If you can absorb caffiene within 10 mins that is good, but SN is a completely different compound. I have no idea how you could be sure with it. I am still trying to work out a method that might work for me but just come up with blanks, got such awful health problems nothing is a viable option and personally I couldn't even consider some of them, too brutal for me. Take care and here if you need anyone. Sorry not much help but hope knowing someone else has similar situation might give some comfort.

I was thinking of asking a similar question. My gastroparesis seems to be back, and now I'm very worried SN is no longer a good option for me. It had cleared up for quite a while until now. I still have to have the test in a few days to confirm it, but I've got all the symptoms again.

I imagine SN in water is probably similar to salt water and would be easier to absorb than food. I'll probably take my chances and go with SN soon. If all goes well it might mean it's still an option for you!:heart:

I am so sad to hear you have Gastroparesis as this is what I have and very severe. Mine wont get any better now, so I know or sure SN couldn't be an option for me, but I suppose its encouraging if you have had it clear up for quite awhile till now. Although be careful as even if did clear again taking something like SN with a very weak spot on body would be harsh.

I dont know if would be easier to absorb than food or not, its a very harsh compound even if its in liquid, I would be incredibly wary about the pain and overriding symptoms of your conditions. Please take care whatever you think you might do.

I know it's not for everyone, hell it's not even for me, but a SN enema is possible

I first developed it about 4 years ago and it stayed paralysed for most of the year but everything went back to normal. I've had several scares, but this is the first full blown attack in a long time. The good news is, I'm not ready to ctb just yet, so I can afford to see what happens. But if it's back, I don't think I can live like this, so...

I'm basically preemptively freaking out.

It's not for anyone! ;)

Discussed here , here , and many other .
Strong salts may burn more than you think .. Strong salts are horrible , burn and destroy membranes (literally injure your ass).
Imagine this: alcohol in stomach is mild inconvenience, alcohol enema burns the bum , now take that x100 .

i think that you'll be fine, SN seems to be absorbed almost exclusively in the upper digestive tract and the small intestine because it takes less than an hour to completely kill you in most cases. you mentioned crohns, is your inflammation in the small intestine or in the large one?

if your stomach isn't damaged then you have solid chances, i'm realizing that this method is probably not so good for me because i suffer from terrible gastritis and have bad ulcer scars in my stomach.

I don't know about gastroparesis, but with IBD you may be ok IF in remission.

If your digestive problems have ulcers as a symptom I would be reluctant to recommend as it may cause pain.

I've tried to understand my GI tract for years, but gave up ... I think even my gastroenterologist does not know what exactly goes on :) (They actually have 2 different opinions). I had periods of sever nausea and vomiting, ulcers and polyps, horrible cramps. But when I was fine – I could eat almost everything – and I consider SN good during such 'remissions'. That's because I personally tested my stomach for my known irritants: garlic, salt water, pickles, acidic food, magnesium salt, olives, etc. The issues were minor: discomfort and cramps. That's normal and mild for me. Was not debilitating or painful. And my meds helped resolve it quickly. All and all, nothing serious. Now this is during so called 'remissions', when things are clear. It does not say SN is okay but it gave me good indication. Maybe you'd find this helpful.

[EDIT] My rule was that if I'm generally "okay" = GI bad condition but not debilitating / Can process food without vomiting or pain = fine for me.
