Do you think that sleeping pills would make the drowning process easier?
Or would the survival instinct kick in nonetheless?

I wondered this. Falling asleep in the bath and staying asleep as I 'm drowning sounds as good a way to go as I've got

Survival instincts with drowning are really strong, they'll be stronger than the sleeping pills.

Maybe sleeping pills + lots of alcohol? Would that work?

I'd say it depends on the individual. I think for me this (or jumping) is no problem like stopping to breath 'til consciousness, just think and get into despair, benzos will do the rest and stay strong, feel the need to leave this world, until it suddenly happens without a recognize, maybe some last DMT induced last thoughts maybe not.

You know that 'trick' where you go into squat position, breathe fast and heavy, and then stand up? lol (don't try that, dear reader)

Hyperventilating?

yeah. I knew some ppl who played these games, friend of mine choked himself to get high lol
kids and boredom

I like hypoventilation (the opposite)
sometimes when my belly was filled with sweet opiates and I was in despair, I liked to stop breathing to feel myself passing away slowly, free from any feelings...but not to die. Today I wouldn't care if I do

As soon as the wáter get to your lungs you´re going to feel extreme pain, and your survival instic will try to get you out of the wáter,no matter how much alcohol or pills you take,
I wouldn´t recommend it

Not really; barbiturates like pentobarbital are proper immobilizers, even the survival instinct is suppressed.

So I will wake up in a bath if I take a packet?

Not necessarily. However you will save yourself from the death and snore on by the tub or pool :( If you read up you will find benzodiazepines suppress the conscious functions but not the subconscious. It's why you can sleepwalk while on a heavy sleeping pills (benzos) dosage. Barbiturates on the other hand suppress both conscious and subconscious functions.
