Sitting into a noose hurts so much, am I doing something wrong? It feels like everything in my neck is being brutally crushed. When you lean into a noose when you are standing it hurts but it is more like discomfort that you can power through

People who successfully commit suicide by hanging are frequently found in the sitting position, which is why I'm interested. I've also heard about how if you use a slip knot and it cinches down then it is pretty much s guaranteed death because you lose motor control immediately

My setup is a long 1/2in thick twine style rope tied to a doorknob and slung over the door. When the noose is high up I can lean into it, but I've been trying it down lower to sit into it. I have the knot between the back of my head and my left ear because the bottom of the noose will supposedly put pressure on my right carotid artery, preventing blood flow into the head, thereby lessening the "explody head" feeling caused by the buildup of blood if you compressed the left carotid artery.

So when I sit into the noose it hurts unbelievably. Am I doing something wrong? Should I try the knot at the front of the neck?

Same problem. Right side of my neck above adams apple hurts so much as if i'm trying co compress large bruise. Strangely, left side is kind of ok.
I thought i damaged something during my previous attempts and gave it some time, but nothing really changed, it still hurts.

Worst part that i'd struggle through this pain if there was some result in it, but i can't even feel tingling.
