Well, Sinead O'Connor died (don't know the causes yet) but I could believe that the death of her beloved son probably exasperated her own demise. They both had a history of severe mental health problems. Anyway, rest in peace to them both. I hope they are reunited somewhere better than this shit world.

Ain't that the truth!
Is it just me or does anyone else ever notice that the people who take their own lives are people who are compassionate, loving, caring people (okay then there is Hitler - no not little Hitler there are always those freaks). Then there are those assholes of the world who push those compassionate, loving caring people to take their lives??? Is it just me who notices this???????

When you are a compassionate caring person, you have extra weight on your shoulders because not only your own personal pain but also the pain of others you see around you can just weigh you down like an anchor sometimes.
It can be very overwhelming knowing that you simply must accept all this suffering and try to make some small dent in it⦠but you know that you are fighting against a massive unrelenting tidal wave!
Sinead O'Connor was certainly one of these people. A beautiful but tortured soul⦠may she rest in peace!

Yes, and then when they take their lives everyone says it's a tragedy and the "#bekind" "it's OK not to be OK" stuff all comes out before they go back to treating caring/compassionate people horribly a few weeks later. I don't think the cycle will ever end, the majority of people are just too cruel for empathic people to survive in this world.

Definitely... like that beautiful line in 'Vincent':
'And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you'
RIP Sinead O'Connor. I hope you're reunited with your son now.

Sinead O'Connor was an emotionally abusive, volatile narcissist who said her own four kids tried to kill her on Facebook and 100% played a part in pushing her own son over the edge. She'll have a lot of explaining to do with Allah.
RIP I guess but let's not martyr this horrid person.

I can't tell you how many so called "compassionate" people and agencies I've turned to for help and what have I gotten Not a FUCKING thing - just the door slammed in my face. Maybe cause I'm older and I don't count, but I've always thought every life counted -

This is so true! I wonder about it a lot. In a way, the horrendous people keep on living in this terrible place while the kind souls go to a better place

Did you know her personally or are you just making assumptions based on what you've read from vile media outlets that strive to tear people down?
I would think being on this site would make a person more empathetic to people who have struggled for years with mental health battles and relentless bullying from the press...
May she finally be at peace and reunited with her son.

I don't think anybody thinks that Sinead was an angel or anything. She made her mistakes in her life (as well all do). However, she did have a very volatile and abusive upbringing. She deeply loved her mother but was conflicted about her at the same time. Sinead also had Bipolar disorder and was prone to mental breakdowns. Her son most likely inherited some of those mental health issues as well. We have to learn to understand people more as opposed to taking shots at them. That doesn't help anybody, but I guess it is easier to point fingers at others. We are all damaged in one way or another and compassion and understanding don't cost anything. She was still an unbelievable talent and nobody can take that away from her. Peace.

I just look at her face and it makes my fucking blood boil. I can't separate the monster from the woman, I fucking can't. They're intertwined with everything she has done.

And the truth is what I've been saying. No one else can see it. There's nothing else to be said. It's like people are trying to get to me by getting through her, it's like a spider web trying to attack me. Even today it was all a coordinated attack of embarrassment and anger and rage. "Cope and seethe", whatever psy op you believe Im just telling my stalkers, who read this, that I hate their dog whistles with a passion.

You're entitled to your opinions just like everyone else is. If this thread is so distressing to you, why are you even taking part in it? Why not just ignore it?

Every person I've personally known who's ctb has been really cool, mellow and down to earth. Jerks, narcs, psychos, etc, the kind of people who run the planet, generally don't ctb because life rewards their assholery. Kind, compassionate, caring people get eaten alive and suffer while pricks go on their merry way, never having to pay for the damage and suffering they inflict on others. They excel and do just fine. I've seen it so many times in my almost 51 years on this prison planet.
