One second, maybe regrets, but too late. But this? I've tried it a dozen times, belt from closet, everything perfect, my unconscious will to live overrides it, the fucker.

Might help going a few nights without sleeping and if you want to alter your will to live before suicide.
Similar, a person can use drugs to alter themselves for the moment right before death. Understanding your pattern of thought and not allowing it to waiver against your wishes is also a technique possibly used.

If you are choking, you are compressing your trachea. It is possible to compress the carotids without doing this.

What do you mean the body rules? I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss going nights without sleep or using drugs to alter your psych as not helpful. It's possible to fall into unconsciousness fairly easy if you do it right. Hard to have it happen all the time you want it to happen. That's why people usually try multiple attempts before succeeding.

The fact that he succeeded makes it look almost easy. Trying something similar and getting different results can be frustrating. It would nice to know what exactly he did to save the guesswork. Although if it was something I found particularly troublesome I probably wouldn't try it myself. At least I don't think so. But who knows?
