OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Holidays are good for one reason. Talking about New Year's Eve specifically.
People will be too busy they forget about everything else.
Meaning getting hindered in your attempt is less likely to happen on these days.

I don't think I'd want to do it anywhere around Christmas or new years. In that case the holidays would never feel the same for my family or people that knew me. I'd want to be forgotten as soon as possible.
It depends on the holiday. I wouldn't do it on Christmas/Easter/Halloween because I don't want to impact the little kids in the family experience.
Other holidays tho? I don't see why not. lots of people don't like family gatherings and can use it for a few years as a way to dodge doing stuff on that holiday. Or they can use that holiday as a way to cope in future years and as a way to remember you by.

Every day is a Holiday somewhere. This is one of those questions that doesn't have a right or wrong answer to it. It's entirely up to the individual.
