I don't wanna give it long like 1 year but real changes only happen in long term but idk max I am willing is 2 months..any suggestions?

Not really contributing to the thread but I need to ask what is CTB partner? Do you assist each other in CTB'ing? Or do they only assist you.

We do it together
Thanks for answering!

But to answer to the original question; CTB is basically leaving on your own terms. If your CTB partner pushes you to try one more time and you are unsure about it, then don't do it. If you want to leave, do it on your own terms, not someone else's.

Oh sorry, my bad, you said it there clearly, I have selective reading skill apparently. But I guess all I can say is how do you think? Do you want to try to live a better life? Hard to say how much time you should give, do you find any reasons to try to live a better life? Does your CTB partner themself want to live a better life? If yes, could it be possible you two could try to improve life together and if things go south, then reconsider what to do

No you read it right i edited it to avoid confusion..and he doesn't wanna but he is telling me I should try..In general I wanna live a better life but I have to will to try anymore cause I am stuck in a loop..my only reason is hoping things will be better...I wanna give it 2 months max cause there are things that will decide everything about my future in next 2 months but ik it's not enough for things to happen

Do you mind me asking what kind of things makes you want to ctb? A lot can happen in 2 months, but then again, not much can happen either. If there's even the smallest thing you can do that helps you change your life around, do that. To me it seems that your ctb partner is now regretting taking you with him. If you want to live a better life, give it some time, see what happens. You can also ask your ctb partner if he would be willing to turn his life around as well. Best of luck to both of you, however you choose to decide.

Maybe you should, a few weeks ago I also wanted to CTB, but now I'm feeling better, I still get depressed at times and have some idealations but I feel hope for the future and am way better than I was before

As long as you need, don't rush it. Dying is permanent and final, while life is ever changing and evolving. Its good that you have hope

Try to live because of other people is dangerous. If you want to give a try, do it for yourself

Why don't you give it the 2 months you think is all you can do and then see how you feel then?? Maybe you will improve enough that you could try another 2 months. Or maybe in 2 months you will know for sure that you want to ctb. Is your partner going to stay here if you do, or is he gonna go ahead and ctb?? It would make s BIG difference to me if my partner wanted me to try and get better but they had decided to go ahead and leave without me.

You can't really evaluate it by time I think. Maybe change the measurement? Like set a goal that is reasonable. See if you can set a list of steps to get to that goal and then evaluate how long it takes to achieve each step and commit. The time line itself is arbitrary. I get it for us here, it's like a sentence that we are serving and time is the gatekeeper. But friend, if you are going to try, commit. That's my humble advice. Whatever the parameter.
