I'm planning on catching the bus Wednesday morning at sunrise, and I'm not sure if I should reach out to my friend before then. She's the only real friend I ever had and I ghosted her this summer when I started to make serious plans. I couldn't risk being discovered.

I feel guilty and want to explain to her that I'm sorry and how much she meant to me. But I'm afraid that wouldn't be fair to her. We'd have to talk very early in the morning, she might take it very poorly, and then all I've done is wake someone up at sunrise and traumatized her even more than if she just found out from a letter.

That's assuming she wouldn't be supportive though, and I dont know if she will or wont. as afraid as I am of traumatizing her needlessly, I'm also afraid of unfairly taking away a chance at closure.

So should I tell her I want to talk Wednesday morning?

It's up to you. It can give closure. It can let her know you were thinking of her right until the end. Only you can make the decision you feel is best.

I think you should. I mean, what are the cons?

My opinion is that's a very serious personal decision. There are consequences either way that need to be weighed. I can understand the want for advice. It's a hard one.
