Should i go to my parents funeral when they die?

My mother and father are married. I live in another city. I gone no contact with my father for 6/7 years idk. He was agressive to me before several times. I fear him. Whatever funeral i go i probably get hostility from other family members too. So idk what i shoud do. Of course I would be staying in a hotel if i go
My aun too.. i would like to go to hers too

Its a hard one indeed. If i go i wish i could site alone in private with the desesed and have a little talk and cry.. and thats all. I don't want to interact with anyone else or fight with them. But I can't control what they will do
If my father insults me or try to hit i will film him so i have evidence. But don't think he will do that in that situation

Sorry that your family is hostile like that... I think if it is meaningful to you to pay your respects to the dead then you should try to go. Better to have temporary pain than lifetime of regret. But easier said than done I know...

He had threatened before that he was gonna send sicarios to kill me thats why im afraid walking in that city.. but probably he will just cut off the money my mother send me and that would be fair. I will have to suck it up on that one.it will be hard. At least i will have this space to bitch about it.
