I live with my parents they are boomers, they are about the age you would expect from a boomer. My life is honestly not that bad right now... Not good at all, but not awful at any sense.
It can all take a turn for the worse however if they die. One of my parents is batshit, the other (my father) is pretty smart actually.
Right now im just passive, its not half bad at all. Am i just delaying the inevitable? will welfare in the united states be better by 2030? Will basic income, welfare in the usa save us all by 2035?
My age? 19
iq? bad.
I take it that my parents will live to 2040.. will the future be better at the time, maybe. Its a risk im willing to take and wait for now however. If i was born very poor /3th world i would have offed myself by now. But now im not so sure what to do now...:I

we can't tell you if you should ctb or not, only you can make that decision. I think as long as you're not 100% sure this is what you want, you shouldn't do it, because you can't take it back.

I hope you'll find peace with whatever decision you make <3

Just stick it out at least till conditions in the US get so bad that you won't want to live. Have a method prepared or a few in case one doesn't work. There are ruling elites working to destroy the US but I'm not sure when the shit will really begin to hit the fan. Enjoy your life while u can.

The USA is heading straight to hell. Nothing is going to improve this country. It's pretty well doomed.

Yes, it has a good bit of the signs and symptoms of a highly developed society on the brink of self-implosion. My uncle is dead now, but he was a preacher and explained to me a lot about the book of Revelations. Now for a Christian man, he was very open-minded and patient about explaining things that don't make sense on the surface. He explained how it is actually a code for the fall of Rome and what was happening, and how the US is following many of the same patterns. The writer Camille Paglia has also written about her take on it, and she is quite the student of history. Sometimes I think I'm just thinking negatively and subjectively, but then I see that there are people who can back up this theory with past examples, and it is really scary.

I just wish they would make it easier to get out of the US. All this country is both politically and societally is bloody fascism and corporate greed disguised as freedom and democracy.

@hamednova My parents are also boomers too. They aren't in really bad health, but moderate health and they still have at least another two decades or so (based on US life expectancy) and while I'm not strictly waiting on them to pass before CTB'ing, I would stay if life is still tolerable for me. As far as whether life will be better through UBI or welfare, it is hard to say. There are articles out there stating that welfare and other safety nets might not be around in a few decades while others say they still will be but not as much as what our parents' or the earlier generations will be getting.

@Final Escape I agree with you when it comes to enjoying what is left before it becomes unbearable. I too also have a method ready if things make a turn for the worse (short to mid term).

@EmotionlessWanderer This sums up the general life and attitude of the US. I don't believe things get better and people are just numb to things around them. They are too distracted or just don't want to face reality and rather wallow in illusions and lies to go about their lives.
