hi. hope you guys doing well

i have 2 method in mind. one is carbon monoxide using my car and a vacuum hose, and the other is short drop full suspension hanging.
while i don't think the first one is much reliable i go with the second.

i have a rope with thickness of a finger. and the place I'm going to tie the rope is 3 meter high.
the only question i have is the other end. what kind of tie should i use? is simple knot will do the job?
and is there anything I'm missing?

thank you

All you want is a knot that tightens. I don't remember the names of the ones I tried, but you will find them on Google easily enough. I suck ass at that sort of thing but I was able to do it.

That said, I was NOT able to achieve what we all want to achieve with this method, and it seems most of us have too strong SI to actually make it work.

You don't need the hangman's knot for this (only if you wanna feel fancy while doing it), a simple knot will suffice. Make sure its tight enough though. Hanging, even when full suspension, is hard because of SI. I wish you good luck.

You can also use a carbiner instead of a knot. That may slide better, and it's easier to get it right.

If you use a carbiner, position the carabiner at the back of your neck, slightly towards the side where the end of the rope is fixed to the carabiner. This way, it will be easier for the rope to tighten around your neck once you put your weight on it.

You don't need a drop. Full suspension is enough, and it's very reliable. But don't do partial, appaerntly that's unreliable.

Quite interesting. I'm going to change the slipknot by a carabiner.
I have to try first on partial, because full I will have to commit on a wooden door that I'm not sure if can with my weight. I hope so.
Almost, I have a last option that is a full hang more or less in conditions but with the issue to do it only at night.

if lots of people CTB hanging, why not me?

I agree with you. If you don't have a carabiner you can apply soap or oil to the rope for a better slide.

Put the other end if the rope through the small loop.
