Serious, water intoxication

Hello all I asked this question before but it's time for me to clarify some things. I can't pee through my penis and I have a suprapubic catheter. If there is a lot of urine in my bladder some of it comes out my penis without my control.

Now here's where it gets interesting; I have been offered an operation where they block the passage between my bladder and penis, meaning the only way for me to pee is through my catheter.

This will mean no pee will come out unless I open the valve. And in theory since there's no water coming out; all the water I drink stays in me.

I've tried this method without doing the surgery and all the excess urine went through my penis. So I'm wondering, with this operation, will water intoxication be possible?

Why am I using this method you ask... I am in hospital and this is the only way for me to ctb without anyone's help...

I don't think it's necessary to do all that. The only thing that would really accomplish is a lot of physical discomfort I'd imagine. The whole reason too much water is dangerous is because it causes an electrolyte imbalance. You don't need to keep the water inside you to do that. You just drink excessive amounts, and it dilutes the sodium and stuff in your body. You should maybe do some basic research on this before hurting yourself unnecessarily.

Think of it like alcohol intoxication. You drink a lot of alcohol, you get drunk. You usually pee a lot, but that doesn't make you any less drunk.

Sorry you're having to go through that @ningaman151. I just wanted to say the outcome from this would more than likely just result in a lot of pain and discomfort from a distended bladder. Just because you don't open the valve doesn't mean your kidneys stop producing urine, plus if you're in hospital with a suprapubic catheter is that not something the nurses keep an eye on, even if you're not aware they're doing it?
I've looked after many patients with blocked catheters over the years and they're usually in an awful lot of discomfort. Plus I always kept an eye on output so I could tell if there was a problem in the first place.

Also you need to drink like 14 liters of water to die, it is painful and you can end up with brain and nerve damage or blindness if you survive. Sounds awful.
But I do understand the feeling of not being able to do it in a painless way.
Are you physically unable to make a rope and hang yourself?

I'm under 24/7 observations. I have no where to hang the rope, and I am physically disabled, so not much I can do.

It would take a ridiculously and uncomfortably large amount of water. The thing that concerns me about all this is that if you are in the hospital under constant care and observation they are just going to intervene when you start to go into physical distress. It seems like you will put yourself through a lot of pain and discomfort for no real benefit.

often the nurses would work it out for themselves, as they keep a log of what people have eaten, drunk, fluid management charts, so its going to be hard

Didn't one guy do it with just a handkerchief and a walking stick before? I swear I've seen stuff like that, if you get 10-20 mins alone, at night in the dark it might be possible. But if you have a HR monitor on you'd need a way to fool it somehow. This is a hard one
