Help Sending delayed emails and then deleting the email account. Are they going to get it?

Just what it says on the title: Can recipients of delayed emails still receive them if I delete my email account after sending them?

I use gmail

According to what I have read if you send an email and you have deleted your email account, your messages will still send. The message has already been sent, even if its been delayed.

Can I Stop or 'Un-send' an Email I Sent by Mistake?

Once you hit that Send button, you must assume there is no way to stop your email from being sent . . . even if it's to the wrong person.

Here is the source. Basiclly once an email is sent, it will send. Even if it has been delayed. Of course if you never send the email, then it won't be sent.

I can't fully confirm this one way or another, but I don't think that it will send the email if you delete your account before the time it is scheduled to send it out. It's a bit like putting a package in a mailbox so that it can be picked up by the mailman for delivery next morning, but blowing up the mailbox with the package still inside it before morning.
It is true that once an email is sent to an address you cannot stop it from being delivered, but scheduled delivery controls when it is sent. It isn't delivering the email to another mailbox and only revealing it later at the scheduled time, it starts the delivery process at the scheduled time. So unless Google has built a feature into Gmail specifically to gather scheduled messages from deleted accounts so that it can send them at a later date I don't think it's going to work.

No, it will not send.

Google saves everything you type (there is a neat prank you can do to test this, type the word spoon 100 times in every email, but use white text so its not visible. everyone you send it to will get google adds for spoons) Basically your account is on the server, and an email will go to the server you designate in the address. A delayed email never leaves the google server. its a program that sends it later. like a queue instead of an as it comes service. if you delete the Account, the email has nowhere to come from anymore, as the queue will look for the account and see it missing, and skip to the next account in line.

There are services out there that can make temporary email addresses, and delete the accounts after, but i dont know if they have a delay function. they are used to sign up for websites that make you use an email if you only intend to use the site once. also useful o make anon accounts across the internet.
