Self Harm

Hello,

just a quick question
basicslly I'm in a unit and I have no ways of getting anything sharp because
a) I have to be escorted outside so I cant buy them
b) I can't order anything in as they are checking my post
c) I cant break anything because otherwise I'll get sectioned and I don't want that

The only suggestion I can make is that you go to staff and tell them that you are having very strong urges to self harm. If you pick a nice one on a good day, that may take time to talk to you and give you some support.
If you self harm in the unit, you may end up being sectioned and it will also interfere with your therapy. I've been in your place, so I have a lot of sympathy. I know the feeling of being trapped and this is the one way you can feel back in control. But, actually, choosing to do it differently this time is also taking back control. Please try it and let me know how you get on xx
