Seeing how many people failed during the past few weeks I'm starting to second guess CTB with SN.

I'll start the list of failed attempts. I'm having second thoughts on SN.

The last failed attempt I saw on here was someone who was found. Others didn't follow the advice on how to take SN.
I know someone I used to talk on here who bought SN from the same place as me who was successful.
It's a very reliable method if you do it right and don't get "saved".

I was under the impression stat was better. Are you confident the 48 hours technique is better?

Second guessing is fine, completely normal for something as serious as this. I was there once there myself but realised I was only looking at the failed attempts and not the successful ones.

not to discourage you or anything, but i also have my doubts about this method.

i don't think it is as reliable and peaceful as most people think, one of the main effects before dying is a terrible headache plus seeing your fingers turn blue doesn't help with SI at all.

of course i'm not an expert at all but i really feel like this method is not that great.

From a recent article in our doc magazine called "Auto-intoxication with "suicide powder".
I will only quote/translate the start and that what stood out the most to me;

Ladies and gentlemen,

We have recently been confronted with suicide attempts with sodium nitrite. Like sodium azide, this agent is considered to be the "suicide powder" or "agent X". In this clinical lesson we discuss the symptoms, pathophysiology, treatment and the mechanism of death after taking sodium nitrite based on 2 patients.

Media coverage has created the impression among the public that sodium nitrite is a "safe and humane agent" that "leads to a dignified death." 2 The mechanism of death, however, is suffocation, with after death permanent blue discoloration of the entire body. Because of the unbearable symptoms associated with suffocation, sodium nitrite is an extremely unsuitable suicide agent.

I think with any method there are risks. For me, failed attempts can be measured on scale. On the far left it is that the instructions were not followed correctly to the far right that you are from the planet Krypton and can't be harmed. Yesterday I read someone failed on N and that is the holy grail!

That's a useful perspective. Not sure many clinicians would write the opposite though in a public way as they would lose their licence to practice medicine. One concern I do have, is that if we fully believe that article, that then we would have to question all of the entries in the PPeh and wonder if they were quick or peaceful. If we go down that route then nobody finds a method

This method is plan A for me, I guess if you don't throw up and no one finds you for a while SN should work.

What is the stat option?
The stat option would be to take at least 30mg( I've heard 40mg) of meto or domperidone 1 hr before. So you take the meto 1hr before then take acid reducer 10-30 minutes after that.

It doesn't seem like the best option when you consider all the alternatives. You also don't need to rely on a single method when you can combine them.

I have so much of SN as I had to buy it in bulk that one of the things I will be doing is getting a sports bottle with another dose and keep topping myself up if I do puke. For most that have bought it, it comes in large quantities so there is plenty spare

@Funkygibbon told us about a failed experience. He also shared his successful venture live. He just talked about having a headache and being blue. No more pain.

@Funkygibbon r.i.p my friend still love you.

I'm afraid there simply is no way of dying without pain. But then it holds true with a natural death as well.

Very true. There are four ways to die and less than 10% of use will die a quick sudden death. Most of us will die a slow painful death.

I didn't watch it yet, but if death is always painful, how does that work for pro-lifers? I mean it's not like they get to live forever either.

Yeah but that's not an argument they can win like that. It's not like if you don't ctb you don't die.

I just watched this, this is mainly about natural death. The near death experiences part sounds quite appealing.

While this may be true in terms of statistics, this site is focused on peaceful quick methods which pretty much all come under "1" category in this.

Nembutal is a good example of a painless death; we can never truly know the full extent until we die though unfortunately.

Honestly, one thing the world needs most is universal access to N. We cannot control every misery that life may throw at us, but we should be able to say no when we want.

SN is just like any other method: sometimes shit happens, and you have to think of everything if you want to make 100% sure that you're catching that bus. Some people don't think to add in other stuff (headache? take an aspirin the morning of the final day. Don't want to see yourself turn into a Smurf? Take a sleeping pill or a benzo, voila). Make a list of your worries when choosing a method, and take measurements to make sure it doesn't crop up when you do it. Rethink. Replan. Replay.

This frigthens me too.
There will always been a doubt about our own response to a chemical.
But there aren't a lot of « non-painful choices »

Well I have the SN, Meto and acid reducers. Testing the Meto as I heard you can get bad side effects. 24hrs in and no side effects. Even dissolved 15g of table salt on 100ml water to see if I could down it ok. No problem there either. So looks like I'll be ok with this method.
