Who has done it? I think everyone should try it before they die. Experiencing ego death is so terrifying yet mind blowing

Salvia - the most powerful dissociative
Doesn't compare to DMT at all as in it's a completely different experience.
DMT & Salvia are actually totally opposites
One brings you closer to reality and your individuality (I think, I've never done DMT) while one completely rips everything you have ever known away from you.

My experience:

I smoked it at a party about a year ago. I thought it was just a plain blunt.

About 15 seconds later everything was spinning and everyone's voices were incoherent. I didn't know which way was up. I managed to literally crawl up the stairs and lay on my friend's bed who was hosting. I had no idea what was happening to me so that's one of the reasons this was so terrifying. Ego death - the complete loss of ones sense of self. You no longer feel you are a person. You have no understanding of consciousness. You have no concept of time at all. It no longer exists. You don't know where you are or what you are doing there. You don't feel like a singular being. You are just observing life has if you have never seen any of it before. Yes this is 100% real and it was the most terrifying experience of my life. I said to myself before I completely was lost what time is it? I had no reason to want to know the time. I stared at my phone for maybe 2 minutes maybe 2 seconds I don't know. I remember looking at the numbers and not understanding what they were or what they represented. I didn't know why I was holding this seemingly meaningless thing that was my phone so I just dropped it on the floor. For some time I felt as if I was having a heart attack probably from the panic. it was very intense. When I could finally move I stood up, still could barely walk than basically sliding down the stairs. I saw peoples faces but I couldn't hear them or actually it was more I just couldn't understand them at all. It was only noise. At this point I had no thoughts at least that I could put into words because I had no knowledge of language. I had no recollection of anyone even my close friends. I didn't know what these beings were. They looked so strange and creepy to me. I felt as if I was seeing a human for the first time. Looking back I thought everyone looked like ugly fish haha. I didn't feel as if I was one of them because I didn't have any sense of self it was like I was objectively observing. I don't remember to much after this I went outside and probably was like wtf some more. It's impossible to explain Salvia. I did a terrible job though lol but people have called it seeing the truth and going to another dimension. Seeing the truth is very very accurate. I recall someone saying when you are on it you feel as if you are finally awake and everything before that, your life as a human was just a dream. and that's the most accurate way I've seen it described. when you wake up from a dream you don't remember it really and it's all foggy. Compare how real you feel in a dream compared to real life. That feeling when you wake up after a long dream that felt like reality when you were sleeping. Imagine that but your life is the dream and you are waking up for the first time. It's on a whole other level. It's a very very intense very real experience. I highly recommend it. Go into knowing what to expect and embrace it. I will be doing it again soon but this time on purpose hah For me it lasted about 30 minutes well my friend told me thats how long I disappeared for.

It was terrifying!!! - it was incredible

I once tried Salvia a long while back. My peripheral vision turned into what looked like a colorful version of the static on TV. That's all I remember. It lasted perhaps 5 or 10 minutes. It was stupid. I don't recommend it, I can't really see the value of it.

Yeah wow okay rude.

hate to break it to you but there are no visuals with salvia. you either experience ego death at 100% or you don't. "breakthrough"

I've never experienced any drug, but I'm thinking of asking someone at my work if they can get me something psychedelic. Only problem is I don't have anyone to make sure I don't go apeshit when I do it. That's why I'm thinking of spending a bit of cash and going to Peru to do some ayahuasca at one of those retreats. I feel it's something I have to do whether I like it or not.

lol I smoked a tiny bit alone in a hotel and thought "no effect".
An hour later I kept hearing someone call to me from up the staircase, around the turn of it, just out of sight.
Walked up around the corner. Every time I got up a flight of stairs, the voice was up another level and around the corner, still calling to me. I keep asking it who are you what do you want, it just keeps saying "come up, there is something important I need you to remember."
I got very tired, this went on for an hour, up and up. Climbing climbing.
Finally I go, I'm starting to think these stairs go nowhere. I need to rest."
It keeps calling "remember, you need to remember, this is important!"
I go "I need to stop and smoke some weed and think. Start looking around for the pipe.
Eventually look down, pipe is still in my hand the whole time.
And ...and I think...I am remembering something... my pipe...want my pipe...is it something about my pipe?
Then
OH MY GOD THAT IS NOT JUST WEED IN MY PIPE IT IS ALSO DMT.
I am fucking hallucinating.
I had never left the hotel room, I had spent two hours climbing and clambering all over the furniture in my hotel room, lifting my legs in these huge steps to climb the imaginary stairs.
The last thing I said to myself, aloud, before I smoked was
"You need to remember that this is not just weed in this pipe. This is important in case you hallucinate."

The person calling down to me to "remember, this is important"was the echo of the last thing I had said to myself. The stranger I was chasing was me, telling myself "remember, this is a hallucination."

Sometimes when I see a king size bed I still want to pretend it's a staircase. :haha:

and you don't want to start with something a little softer, like weed?

That's probably a good idea. I really want to experience this ego-death thing I keep hearing about though. Will weed make me more prepared for a trip? I always thought weed wasn't psychedelic. Sorry for the noob question :II

lol don't be sorry. You're right it is not psychedelic, but it will feel pretty intense your first few times. It will be about half as intense as your first DMT though.
And I tell all noobs, only try a couple of hits your first time. Marijuana psychosis is exaggerated by antidrug ppl but it is real for people who overdo it the first time. I've seen a few freakouts with first timers, then they go "drugs are bad!" after they overuse and have a bad time.

I technically get psychosis every single time I ingest weed. I get free classical music radio :)
