Anyone else out there try to distract themselves from their depression by cycling through salty and sweet food?

Just spent like 30 bucks on takeout and A WHOLE bunch of food. Chicken, poutine, salad and stranger things to distract me from my own thoughts and sadness. but my bank accounts gonna be pretty empty when i look back at it, and it'll make me realize my emptiness. so theres that about distracting urself with food :p

I used to do this in college. Get a HUGE amount of spicy food, some packets of biscuits, and keep cycling from one to the other through the night while watching something or the other. Here, at my internship, I've shifted to booze/crisps. IMO the booze is better for dealing with the lows, as long as there's nobody around to see you whimpering uncontrollably.
