So... I'm stepping waaaaaaay outside my comfort zone and designing my own charity event. I will be writing my own literature. I asked about applying for a permit. I'm thinking about advertising. I'm super excited.

And yet I'm terrified.

I feel like my ambitions are always waaaaaaay more lofty than my energy or skill set can handle. I am fundamentally incapable of accurately judging the time, money and effort it will take to do something. I don't want to let people down.

I could just NOT do this. That's an option too, and there's no penalty for doing that, but there's something that drives me. If I keep playing small, my life will never offer anything of value. And I don't learn anything.

I have until late September. Let's gooooo.

My advice would be to just plunge into it and start from somewhere. Then from chaos will rise order. :)

Now it seems like an overwhelming endeavour, but once you start to get things done gradually, you will see it is not such a big of a monster. It also helps visualize the final result of your efforts. This serves both as a guide and helps you break down the tasks that are necessary, as well as a source of motivation.

Best of luck with the charity event! You are up to the challenge.

It helps that it's a fun charity event. It's a night time glow ride on the beach.💘

Good luck to you! I've volunteered for one before, and honestly the best advice I could give is don't blame yourself too much if you don't find a great deal of success. There's so much luck that goes into if people can donate to the cause or not, so some days might be immensely lucrative while others painfully slow. Just remember that it's not a business, you're not expected to keep the gears churning non-stop so long as what ever you're raising for is seeing the fruits eventually.
