Can you guys post pictures of good rope to use for partial hanging?

6 years ago when I was 18 and researched a lot about drop hanging where you calculate your weight with the height dropped for the purpose to break the neck I bought this rope and made a beautiful noose.

Blue PP Rope 1000
But for partial hanging I would imagine a thinner and softer rope would be ideal am I right? Can you please post a photo of a good type of rope to use.

An iron cord works wonders. I have an old iron in which the black and red wires are covered with non-strechable cloth. It works better much much better than towels, jute ropes, nylon ropes. Mountain climbing ropes aren't good either. There is one more thing that can be used. A silk bed sheet also works. Cut it in half. Then use one of the halves to twist tightly and make a fluffy rope out of it. Jute and nylon ropes leave rope burns and the thickness is not perfect. Trust me I have been experimenting for around 45 days with all sorts of ligature material and all sorts of positions and nooses. A hangman's noose is the best even if you read in this site that a slipknot is better. No I have practised and am talking from experience. A 7 to 8 curl hangman's noose. Above the adam's apple. The angle of the body when leaning forward with the floor should be around 65 degrees. The point of suspension should not be more than 2 feet above the head. And don't sit down. Sitting down is not the ideal position to press the lateral sides of the neck properly. Leaning forward is the best. Push up position is also very good where you bend you body a little upwards forming a parabolic shape. Push up position with the head away from the point of suspension. And go Wham ! not gently.

This rope should work fine but use a handkerchief or a soft piece of cloth to pad the neck, it looks like it will hurt. And the thickness is not very perfect. I have found 15mm diameter to be the bes

Prime is this basically what you mean? Lean out. Stop circ. Then your body's just going to drop an yea.. Or could you explain further. IMG 20181028 034137

The image on the left is the correct one. Well when you go completely unconscious, your body will move to the position as the drawing on the right. But don't start off with the right one. And don't look down when you begin. Poke your head a little upwards. 'Cause when the head is tilted upwards the carotid sinus comes closer to the skin. If you are looking straight or down, you will need more pressure, thus more pain. Lifting the head a little upwards does the job easily.

And keep your legs as close to the rigid support (in your drawing, the tree or whatever it is) as possible. Try to make a triangle. One vertex is the point of suspension call it A, the other is the head call it B, and the third is the point where legs meet the support call it C. Angle ABC should be around 50-60 degrees.
Hope it helps.

Try to place the ligature above the carotid quadrangle.

I mean on the carotid quadrangle.
Its a big brocolli lol. Ah OK I'm not %100 what you mean by the carotid quadrangle is that a place on your neck? I'll have too Google that. As in the triangle, feet near rigid support. Kind of like this? An thanks I'm just trying to get the logistics down so I know what the hell I'm doing. IMG 20181028 040907

I personally am probably going to use a judo belt. It doesn't really hurt the skin, it's very stable, it has a good length/width and it can easily be tied into a noose. When I tried partial with it in my closet, I passed out immediately, without any pain or discomfort. Unfortunately my anchor point wasn't stable enough and broke, but the belt was definitely very stable.

I am near the point of using partial. If I fail I don't want to have a massive mark on my neck, should I use something other than rope?
Peace

Just pad your neck with a handkerchief(a female handkerchief with furs will be better) and apply cold water on the neck immediately if you fail. This way, you won't leave marks.

I used 8mm (1/3inch) and 6mm (1/4 inch) rope.
I like the 6mm more.

But both work.
Both are smooth. And soft. They also don't stretch much. They are also strong enough to hold my bodyweight.

Make sure it is strong enough.

I planed some tests before. Thought about some additional comfort, thanks for recommending some.
