If you get shot in the woods at night and survive. Is there a good chance you will be eaten by animals? Like bears or wolves?

These animals are pretty good at smelling blood. They're also pretty good at sniffing out other animals in distress that they can attack.I would say the chance is reasonably high depending on where you are. If you're in a proper wooded area, which has a reasonably large wildlife population then yesl

What are you talking about? Humans aren't really a food source for bears and definitely not wolves. Plenty of people get injured in the woods, but both bear and wolf attacks are rare.

I expect so, and I hope so. For me that would be a fail-safe backup plan, of sorts.

If you happen to be in an area where these animals are starving, then maybe, but I wouldn't say it's likely. Like I said, both bear and wolf attacks are rare, and it's even rarer for them to kill someone.

I've heard sharks can swim in shallow water, so you won't have to fill it much. I hope you find peace. Take care.

Do bears and wolves frequent where you are going to CTB? Just because you are in trees does not mean there are bears and wolves.

Wolves, despite what popular media shows, are quite skittish and hesitant with humans. You making enough noise despite being injured could scare them off. A bear, on the other hand, will most likely be thrilled such a tasty, defenseless snack has been left for it!

Well, it's better to be touched by animals than by humans. At least they know where to start; they're smarter.

Last thing in the world you want is to be wounded in the woods, and have a hungry bear sniffing for you!

The thing with bears is they just starting eating people alive rather than killing them first.

Bears mostly feed on berries and the like. They are also extremely skittish and not at all like they're portrayed on tv. Just because you're wounded and bleeding doesn't mean a bear is going to eat you, lol. Most times bears only attack when they are provoked or feel cornered. You're more likely to bleed out than be attacked and/or eaten by a bear.

Wolves are similar. They primarily eat meat, but are very leery of humans. They likely wouldn't even get close to you.

You will not be attacked or eaten by wildlife.

If you're a fan of podcasts, I highly recommend National Park after Dark "Night of the Grizzlies". It's a commonly held misconception that bear, mountain lion, and wolf attacks are rare. They aren't in the slightest, especially when it comes to grizzlies.

Not only are they more common as we push these species to the brink of starvation due to human influences on their natural environment, they are genuinely elongated attacks where the victim is experiencing a prolongued, torturous death. Mountain lions will go so far as to keep their prey alive for as long as possible, allowing them to attempt to flee, only to drag them back over and over again. And lest we not forget that poor woman turned internet meme when her baby was eaten by dingos, and no one believed her.

Animal attack is a valid concern, especially in the western united states.
