How would you go about doing this? Leave a request in your suicide note stating where you were? Phone the emergency services and tell them where you are and your plan before you ctb?

Delayed email or text message to emergency services.
Just make sure you delete it should you change your mind or you're on a short straw to the psychiatric ward and its jolly denizens

Presumably if you do it alone in a hotel, this would be a given anyway. Then if you didn't want hotel staff finding it you could send a delayed message, as others have said.

I am going to say that would not be a possibility. I know who will find mine, eventually.

Lol I completely misspoke. Meant to say "request who has to IDENTIFY the body"

Well the nature of someone identifying your body is that it has to be someone who knows you well. So they would usually go to the next of kin (your family), as that would be the logical choice unless nobody was available.

I also think you might be wrong to assume your family wouldn't be better off in identifying the body (if this is why you are asking the question). I appreciate why you might think it would be traumatic for them, and I think that in a sense it will be. But I think that a lot of people feel a certain level of protectiveness over their family, and would almost feel a sense of duty in being the one to identify the body, in the same way they would feel about speaking at your funeral.
