Does anyone believe or have a scientific proof that a person could be reborn into a new life? I mean maybe a possibility that the consciousness could be transferred if it was some kind of an energy.. i'm not that much of An educated person in this stuff but i just hoped i could be reborn into another better life.. because i really wanted to live.. i wanted to have better opportunities, better family, better life.. a chance to live my life to the fullest before my departing.. but my luck was miserable to be born as ME.. so if i ctb .. will it be over for my consciousness or i could be reborn again??

We will never find scientific evidence for this kind of stuff, evrything we can do is hope in whatever future we want.

Personally, I wouldn't want to reincarnate, even if I was born as a "beautiful one". I think this world is way too corrupted by now, better to leave it once and for all

Personally i don't believe this. But the idea helps to cope with life and death. I like the buddhist way (at least i guess it's the buddhist way) that everything you do in this life will have influence on your next incarnation. If everyone would live this way the world would be a much better place.

I watch a lot of ISEKAI anime and always wish I could be reincarnated in another world or age with my consciousness as it is now. I think having a new life, if it's not that bad, would be nice.

(I hope to be a human at least. I won't live long as a cow or fly.)

I'd love to be Isekai'd in an ideal world... but I don't believe such things are possible. Reality is too cruel and unforgiving. :eh:

The insect world is far out there. Imagine coming back as a king-fu orchid mantis. I saw a nature special with them in it, and they sure looked well enough aware of their situation, being bugs. They are cannibals. If they live long enough they look like a beautiful flower to fool other bugs to land on them so they can eat them.

That would be soo scary running from a gigantic hairy spider with rows of big eyes chasing you, as an orchid mantis.

Anyway reincarnation is dangerous... Being reborn as an african very hungry child or a woman in Yemen, or smb from a tropical tribe, or somewhere in a lost russian or indian or chinese village or in North Korea...

Sorry if smb is concerned. Just some examples of difficult lives.

Personally I'm not a believer in reincarnation but I reserve the right to be totally wrong. The other day I was just thinking about this and other afterlife theories. It would nice if science was directed to answering probably one of the biggest questions for all of humanity, and probably other species as well. Instead we get iphone 12 with funky colors and another camera to take a pic of some crap. Sorry, ranty it gets me. Have you done any research/reading on the topic deadsoul666? I had a book on a 60s case where the person was a child that died shortly after birth, among other lives. I never dug too much into it as it has that John Edwards BS potential to be abused.

I'm pretty confident there is some other form of existence after this one. I don't know how it will be but it might give us the chance for reincarnation. Though I wouldn't take it because I definitely don't want to be here again.

Looking into the afterlife theories and reincarnation is something most suicidal people do.
Noone can give you a definite answer. If we want to be realistic and pragmatic we should accept that there is no scientific evidence that supports the theory of reincarnation. Ian Stevenson and Dr Tucker have tried to do some research on the subject based on children past life testimonies. Their research is nothing to wow about as it is mostly based on anecdotal testimonies from India ( oh wow ...what a surprise) or sketchy stories to seek attention.
Nobody can answer this. And it certainly should not affect your decision to ctb. Leave religion out of this.
If reincarnation is true I wish you are reborn exactly as you would like in order to enjoy life. If not, at least oblivion is eternal peace.

I do believe in reincarnation. Why? Because I have. At least 5 times. I believe it will happen again. A friend I have In this life was a friend in a previous life. A lover in this life also from a previous life. I don't believe that my next life will be driven how this life is currently. I will just get my chance again.

I'm interested to hear about that. I wouldn't ctb on the chance I get another roll of the dice, I may come back as a cow in the US just waiting for my time to come. But afterlife/past life research gets a wink & nod and ignored. Like the "we only know x about the oceans" and then stop, it's only the majority of the earth. How about putting some effort into learning about it on a grand (gov't, big $$) scale.

Why everyone here is saying "omg i don't want to be reincarnated" she's not asking about if you want to or not, she's just asking if someone has a proof

It's really irritating that whenever someone is saying reincarnation every one is like NO OMG NO I DONT WANT TO, i mean i understand your point but let us just discuss it

Because I have friends that verified it. One was my best friend in a previous life. She knew everything.

I doubt there's actual proof outside of thoughts. In my case, simply waking up for the first name mentally, not even knowing my name, and heading into the kitchen. That's enough proof for myself to believe in it. It gives me hope that when I finally die, there's that potential chance of happiness that's waiting for me to take it.

I believe it. Out of what I've read, no scientific proofs, but tradition, records or claims. The living example is Dalai Lama. It's said that before a Dalai Lama (it's a title) dies, they will tell the disciples where they will be reborn to. That's how it has been done for the past hundreds years. I've also read about a brahmin reborn as a untouchable, a western boy was able to recall details of his life as a wwii solider etc. Lastly, I had an atheist upbringing, but as a kid I knew religious concepts intuitively without readings or be taught.

In my opinion it is not likely that we reincarnate after we die. Even if we do, I hope I won't - just because I can't imagine life without this spirits in my head.

The research into past life memories is actually pretty compelling if you take the time to study it. Assuming that the scientists involved have integrity and aren't falsifying their work, it's pretty hard to come up with an explanation that doesn't involve some kind of extended consciousness.

The simplest explanation to me is reincarnation, but others propose a type of super-PSI that allows these children to somehow access information related to a specific person who lived before.

I am having doubts that the scientific work / research done meets the requirement to be characterised valid.
It is also rather "sketchy" that most past lives of children testimonies are from countries where reincarnation is a strong belief and that they even refer to past lives of people in nearby villages, same race, same country etc. I would have been impressed if an indian child could narrate with detail the life of an aztec farmer, not the life of a nearby villager whose death most probably been discussed by their parents.
Plus the "birthmark" argument is so ridiculously stupid that it does not even merit evaluation. It literally counters the whole concept of a non-physical consciousness and the theory of soul transmigration. The whole concept that our body is the vessel of our sould. People will do anything to mislead/con their fellow humans.

It's true most of the cases so far come from countries where reincarnation is a belief. But there are certainly some from western countries as well. The James Leininger case is probably the most famous.

So you're basically saying that because the Indian children don't remember being Aztecs beforehand, the cases don't convince you. But it's entirely plausible that maybe people tend to reincarnate in the same race. We don't really know.

The birthmark evidence isn't ridiculous at all, there is tons of examples of people's consciousness causing physical changes on their body, burns, etc. Consciousness is way more powerful than we generally believe.

It sounds like you already have your mind made up and you've basically looked at a few cursory examples to confirm your existing beliefs.

Anyone who wants to genuinely challenge their existing beliefs around this type of stuff should take the time to read this book. It's long and academic but it makes a pretty good case that materialism is a limited and dated perspective that's going to be consigned to the dustbin of history fairly soon.

The birthmark evidence is utterly ridiculous. We know how "birthmarks" are created during embryogenesis and organogenesis in utero. I don't even understand your argument " of tons of examples where consciousness causes physical changed on their body ". What is this supposed to mean. Care to ellaborate ?
I am talking about the notion that birthmarks or malformations represent sequela of old wounds or death related events. We know how and why birthmarks or malformations are created. We know if they are related to genetic chromosomic anomalies or in utero insults like ischemia or infection. Any credibility that might have existed is immediately gone the moment someone claims something stupid like " this little boy was born with no feet because he was mutilated in one of his previous lives".

I am open to discussion, it is fun. But I have an academic education and scientific stance in life, so I cannot just swallow any bs that conmen will use to fool their fellow humans. Yes consciousness is a huge mystery. The greatest minds of our planet are working on that.
I am reluctant on listening what new age, life - coaches, meditation gurus, psychics, mediums and other conmen will claim in order to sell their latest book.
I find it extremely immoral to take advantage of the grief of some people over the death of their loved ones just to sell books and get a source of income ( as many "psychic" do).

I was a dyed in the wool materialist until about 10 years ago. That book was what changed my mind. It has a whole chapter on examples of people's mental states affecting their physical body causing stuff like marks to manifest, etc.

I guess this goes beyond this discussion, but if for argument reincarnation is true, and so is karma, then there would likely have to be a way for 'random' genetic selection to actually be predetermined. One woman in this netflix series had an NDE in which she was told that her son would die young. He ended up getting hit by a car something like 12 years later when he was 20. This is obviously just an anecdote but there are tons of examples like this once you start looking into this stuff.

For me the best explanation that fits is that we're in some kind of simulation. Our consciousness exists independent of our body and returns to some other level of the simulation when our body dies. Furthermore the simulation is somewhat determined in advance to a certain degree. Materialism just doesn't fit the observations we have anymore.

Utter BS. I am a medical doctor. If those genius authors have discovered how mental state can lead to manifestation of birthmarks they are welcome to publish their research in any peer reviewed journal and maybe receive some award for their groundbreaking discovery. In the meantime I call that BS. I am not agressive towards you. I enjoy the discussion.

I agree on your last paragraph. I am also inclined to believe that too but I do still possess the clarity to realise that maybe I am just projecting wishful thinking on my part. After all both of us will die ( sooner or later) and we hope that something better than this sh1t will follow.
