Out of curiosity, how much of a risk of failure/complications would there be with the night night method? Assuming someone were to get to the point of passing out and wasn't found, would the end result be pretty much guaranteed?

Obviously the initial barrier of tightening the rachet presents a challenge with SI, but if someone made it past that point would they be mostly home free, so to speak?

The following is from an awful website. The comments are vulgar and disturbing. But here is footage of someone who succeeded with the night night method via ratchet strap. He loses consciousness quickly and begins to convulse and have agonal breathing.

So there could be a risk of the convulsions loosening the straps or otherwise disrupting things. I'm guessing that wouldn't be a high risk if everything is done securely but still possible.

What caused the agonal breathing? Is it because he put the padding to close to the windpipe or is it caused by blocking blood flow to your brain? Was he still conscious by then, and if so, was it painful?
