So they have just changed my meds and now I take 0.25 mg Xanax (benzodiazepine) three times a day, I dont remember how much Risperdal (antypsychotic) twice a day (I think 0.25 or 0.5,but really I have no idea) and 300mg quetiapine (Atypical aptipsychotic). If I save some of these and combine these meds with alcohol, will it be an effective way to ctb? How much would I need to save up? I don't have access to the full package cause I've overdosed before and they hide them from me.

it is always helpful to first read your way through the forum.
You will find many answers telling you that oding on benzos, antipsychotics and alcohol will only leave you vomiting.
There is also a search function.

Quetiapine isn't a good overdose drug, I considered it when I was prescribed 800mg and stockpiled it, since I didn't actually need to take it.

imo quetiapine is overrated and you should call yourself lucky that you don´t need to take it any more

Yeah, thanks. I want to hear from many perspectives

800mg? Is that a lot? Why were you prescribed such a high dose?

Yes, I'm sorry, I've only been in this forum for a few days and haven't noticed the search function. And I guess I was looking for a more specific answer.

You'll either a) fall asleep b) black out c) throw up. It's not very reliable method.

It's unlikely to die through overdosing it probably will result in a lot of pain. There are a lot of easier and less painful methods.

@chlorine I have no idea why they prescribed me such a high dose, I think they routinely do it to try to make patients as sedated as possible while they're in hospital. They don't care about the effects it might have one someone's health.

to me it wasn't prescribed while in the hospital, how did it feel 800mg quetiapine? did they diagnose you with something like bipolar, bpd or schizophrenia? cause i read it's supposed to be prescribed mainly for those illnesses, or as an addition to antidepressants

I know it was a question for someone else, but I also have some experience with quetiapine - I took it for insomnia and restlesness due to depression. I took high doses, I cant remember them exactly, but I had some "threshold"...for the first two weeks or so, those pills helped me fall asleep, but after that I could take any dose I wanted and it felt like candy - no effects at all.

yeah it helps me sleep too for now. ive been taking it for almost two months. they don't help for the nightmares though and neither for breakdowns, though xanax does help a bit for the crises.

Ugh, Seroquel aka Quetiapine. I was prescribed that for a little over a year because the psychiatrist I'd been seeing (I no longer see her) was adamantly against prescribing a benzodiazepine. Seroquel made me feel like a fucking zombie. And yeah, 800mg is a high dose, damn. At that high of a dose, if one stockpiled them and had antiemetics, MAYBE, maybe one would successfully CTB.

I've heard/read stories of people who take all the meds they've got: antidepressants, benzos, muscle relaxers, etc. and do a massive overdose resulting in death. It's a 50/50 shot, I suspect a large dose of a an antiemetic would be helpful as most overdoses end up being vomited back up.

Anyway, yeah, still can't get over that 800mg dose of Seroquel. If I had that script, I'd stockpile just in case.

This is sort of random question but..:

Will any of the above antipsychotic medications [e.g. risperidone (risperdal)& quetiapine (seroquel)] work as AntiEmetic for SN (sodium nitrite)?

This link (https://www.drugbank.ca/categories/DBCAT000603) says both Risperidone & Quetiapine are Dopamine Antagonists.

Will they be antiemetic alternatives to metoclopramide (reglan or primperan)?

I'm in search of antipsychotic medications (with dopamine antagonist effect, since metoclopramide is dopamine antagonist) that can be used as alternatives to metoclopramide..

I take 400mg a night quetiapine and 40mg fluoxetine for BPD . Don't think either of those would help me ctb

I don't think you can CTB with those meds. Watch out you don't get fat. Both risperdal and quetiapine can cause massive weight gain. I would weigh and measure yourself weekly and pay attention to diet and exercise.

I'm trying to find if there's any way risperidone or quetiapine can be used as dopamine antagonists to do the job as antiemetic for SN (Sodium Nitrite).

Metoclopramide is the go-to antiemetic for SN but meto is not exactly easy to get in US without prescription..

Any ideas?

I could try getting meto by mentioning nausea, motion sickness but i'm on antipsychotic & antidepressant for my schizophrenia & bipolar.. so i don't know if my psychiatrist would prescribe me meto when he/she knows that i'm on antipsychotic & antidepressant..

That's why i want to try to get metoclopramide w/o prescription. I'd appreciate if anyone has any ideas for alternative for meto (reglan/primperan).

I asked my doctor for an alternative as I went from a uk size 6 to a uk size 12 in a matter of months but he wont prescribe anything else. He suggested going down to 50-100mg to avoid weight gain. Not sure I will sleep on such a low dose though

You cant OD on quetiapine or risperdal, benzos are also hard to OD

It wont kill you. For me, just gave me heart problems, hallucinations, white flashes in eyes and involuntary movements but I wasnt any close to dying.
You need something more reliable, N or fentanyl
