Help question for ppl who use discord

so i know in 2024 discord added a setting where like if you react to someone's text they get a notif for it (default is turned on)

ik this still is a thing bcus i get notifs of when ppl react to my msgs when they do

im wondering if anyone knew if that also applied to ppl who i have unadded, like i was rereading me and like an ex friends discord messages and i accidentally reacted to their message and it went thru , i quickly liek removed it but idk. like i remmeber when someone sent me a friend req and revoked it i still got the notif anyway yk ?? knowing this person i doubt they turned this setting off

i noticed this ex friend started like thru out the months like doing stuff i found out that indicated they weren't over me but they didn't like reach out (like liking my friends posts / old posts , sad songs etc) , but it could be a coincidence too cus from the way things ended and our history i would not be surprised if they weren't over me (cus im not)

Sorry for not being helpful but I gave up discord for exactly reasons like this. It's impossible to just stop being friends with someone without it being super easy for them to stalk you. I even ended up having multiple accounts, just to abandon all of them because every single one is now attached to someone I don't want to talk to anymore.
