Puzzled about PPH

Hello, future travellers. I've seen here and on some dark web forums people's concerns with updated versions of PPH. What exactly gets updated on there other than sources that it's so important to stay updated?
I'm particularly interested in the SN method, and the procedures being posted here (dating back years) and in the latest version match which is why I'm confused. In another thread I read someone discrediting the reliability of it. Where's all this coming from, am I missing out on some aspect of PPH?

I've also heard it being discredited here/referred to as just a money-making scheme so I'd like to know too.

Edit: I believe one of the things that changed regarding SN regimens was the recommendation of antacids. They were recommended before but PN said later on that they weren't anymore.
