Don't even bother spending money on therapy and facilities if you have something that isn't super treatable, if you're in a situation where it's so bad that it's just gonna come back anyways, or if you have so many mental disorders it's crazy. I've spent a substantial amount of time in hospitals, facilities, doctors offices.. and none of it works. The only exception for this is if you have some kind of eating disorder, anxiety or a mild case of depression. (I say eating disorders because those can become super painful and you do NOT want to go out that way.) For background, throughout my life I have been diagnosed with 8 mental disorders, some of them very treatable some not curable at all. I know i'm on the extreme side of the mental health spectrum and my experience is going to be different, but it completely changes your view on the world no matter what you have. And you're telling me that thousands of dollars, YEARS put in psychiatric care and it only helps me seem normal to other people who have never met me before? Ive come to terms with the fact I will always be suffering no matter what, and that eventually I will ctb once i'm done having fun because I have zero interest in getting a job, getting married or having kids. I know this is controversial, but I feel like the government should provide medically assisted euthanasia for people with chronic and incurable mental disorders that affect quality of life and people around them. Why let these people suffer and why have them find painful ways to do it themselves just for their families, their parents, their kids find them dangling from their ceiling or splattered everywhere on the wall. Maybe it's a matter of money, or the ethicality of it all but i'll never understand. Don't waste your time on this bullshit system, if push comes to shove do whatever you have to do to not have to suffer anymore, wether that's work on your mental health or just ctb all together.
